A classic-fit navy t-shirt with a brand new cat design based on photos of the stray & feral cats I feed. The artwork is a square with rounded corners, bordered in blue, and features a close-up drawing of a tortoiseshell cat looking coy and maybe a bit flirty. (This is Le Petit Monsieur's mother!) Off to the right and slightly behind her are two male cats; the top one is a black-and-gray striped tabby with his mouth hanging open in admiration, and the lower one is a mostly cream-colored flame-point Siamese with his tongue sticking out as he gazes at the tortoiseshell beauty. The background is a blend of colored spotlights reminiscent of a dance floor. It's a made-up background; the cats do not actually have a disco club, that I know of, although I haven't talked with my neighbor who leaves his basement open for them, so who knows? And then a few weeks later, they bring the consequences of their actions ’round to show you, and ask if you could keep an eye on them and feed them while they go off to the big neighborhood cat dance again. And this time next year, somehow you’re feeding… 27 cats?! If only there were a way to prevent Caturday Night Fever."

Le Petit Monsieur's experiment to determine the effects of non-ionizing irradiation on kibble has been hampered by his inability to make the microwave run with the door open. So far.

One plate has been knocked askew onto a pile of spilled kibble on the counter. Correction: the pile of kibble on the counter is the control sample, and the plate on top is supposed to shield it from the microwave, if he figures out how to make it run with the door open. Results are inconclusive at this point.

A year ago today, I heard Le Petit Monsieur yelling from inside our chimney, and began frantic efforts to rescue him. He was fully feral then, but with time, love, & patience, he's become... only *mostly* feral.
