Traffic on Bluesky, an X competitor, is up 500% since the election. How will they handle the surge?
Unlike other social media sites, Bluesky allows users to create their own algorithm. The site does not have ads, nor harvest data for artificial intelligence training. But it is still very small, and it does not make money.

Public perceptions about the economy are based on something other than the performance of the actual economy.
Consumers describe economy thru partisan lens (tho their spending may not coincide with answers to pollsters) Morning Consult poll finds sentiment among Rs has soared nearly 30% since Election Day; among Ds, down 13%. www.nytimes.com/2024/11/13/b... via @bencasselman.bsky.social #econsky

Apparently, Democratic Party elites prioritized other goals over improving the lives of ordinary American workers.
In Biden's 2020 campaign he promised to raise the minimum wage to $15/hour.

Then at the very start of his administration, the Senate parliamentarian told the Dems they couldn't pass that without 60+ votes. They could have overruled her but instead they just gave up.
