There's also a distortion in retired population with income derived from RMDs.

The spending that has been keeping the economy afloat is retirement savings being spent down to meet Government requirements.

Draw down 401k, place unspent in CDs... repeat next year.

Say it with me... 401K and change in dividends.

Add change in makeup of "young" family, more headed by single women. Couples w/o kids, more dual income households.
Increase in HS dropouts.
Shift in tech?

Reagan/Congress did some shortsighted things, but there are dozens of structural reasons.

Stock Grants account for a large portion of that disparity, 75% of total compensation. But that model is shifting to options based pay with targets.

1000% growth in Stock Market.

Unions should have been negotiating for equity.

*This study only looked at the higher band, so it's inflated.

1979 to 2022, annual earnings for the bottom 90% rose by 32.9%, while the average growth across all earners was 54.3%

*Horizontal or Vertical Monopolies? Product dependent you get higher costs.

Who do you think Bibi is?

Hamas is a political group, some of whom use violence to meet an objective.
Palestine is a country that deserves to exist.
Not all Palestinians are Hamas.
It's not rocket science.

It's been through the courts, basis for Citizen's United decision... How you spend money is a form of free speech, protected from interference.

Media already creates a narrative based on editorial choices. It's the duty of citizens to parse the truth.

I said a band should play both countries...

Apparently you can't tell the difference between a person and a location?
Specifically said I wouldn't play for Netanyahu etc.

Critical thinking not in your skill set?

Money is Free Speech... basic 1st Amendment stuff. Spend your money supporting media you want.

Meet the Press licks the feet of certain elected officials in the same way FoxNews does.

You don't seem to understand you have a choice. Go find a blog/podcast/YouTube channel for better reporting?

Your conflating Free Press and Ownership of a paper.

Opting to consume media that aligns with your belief system is just a form of bias. Being exposed to multiple, sometimes opposing views is how knowledge gets expanded.

Look for better sources rather than complain about your choices.

I should add that after reading how the Japanese Banks are the underwriters of US Domestic construction, it's a creative solution. Infrastructure w/o Federal Money.

Opening markets to US products is good.

There are plenty of ?s about terms, sustainability or if they get a new PM tomorrow!

I'm not sure who is owes an answer to. He vastly overpaid thinking he could White Knight himself into fixing a failing company. If he wants both sides promoted within the editorial pages, his toy, his choice.
If people don't like the product, they shouldn't consume it.

Boeing and other defense related spending.

Most of it is tech infrastructure or manufacturing boosts. Not much Trump can do other than direct it to specific States. (Southern US could use this type of investment and raise their standard of living/healthcare.)

Book access has been restricted by libraries, school boards, etc for decades. They hide behind "age-inappropriate" or some other nonsense.
Books shown in card catalog but never in the stacks? Sound familiar.
Hasn't stopped them from being elsewhere.

That's what I enjoy most about all art, the individual's interpretation of what they see/hear/feel.
We could both experience the same thing and take away very different things.
Even if it isn't what the artist was conveying.
Art should be open to all...
