$15CAD purchase of sunglasses in a small town's thrift store has changed my life.

I was supposed to be AC121.

They didn't cancel my flight when it was announced. They waited for the government to bail them out. When the strike held (and good for them to hold against this level of corruption!) they cancelled it 4.5 hrs before it was supposed to fly.

Got some bad news so decided to do a little craft project to make myself feel better
Two Mason jars decorated with woven cotton white ribbon, brown twine, and green hemp, and an assortment of paper greens and flowers in white, dusty rose, and a dark lavender. Hanging from the tied ribbons are two live-edge wood amulets, with handwritten calligraphy. The larger of the two says "Cook!" and had wooden cooking utensils inside, while the smaller one says "Eat!" with metal eating utensils inside. You get the sense that the creator is proud of them. They need this.

Making some Pysanky again this year! Still in early stages!

Why shouldn't I buy a commemorative pink purse on my last day in SF to honor the pink GDC year?
A bright pink stool proudly displays a guave cheesecake mochi donut from Third Culture, and a strawberry lychee match a latte, and the commemorative pink purse, in the shape of a wedge of dragonfruit, with green spikes. Larysa's legs are also at the bottom of the frame and a small little elephant in a lotus tattoo is visible on their ankle. This is important.

Larysa with pink in their hair (unseen in this image) is taking a selfie of them and 8 other game-devs, some old and some new friends, as they have taken over a boss's hotel room to pile in and watch the season finale of the acclaimed show Severance. Everyone is smiling because all are at the time of the taking of this picture, unaware of the pain that is about to be inflicted upon them. They are grateful for it. Praise kier. Larysa's snack haul from Trader Joe's they were unreasonably excited about because there is no Trader Joe's in Vancouver Canada, where they reside. Included are Snacky Clusters, Brookie Clusters, Passion Fruit Rounds, Sour Cream & Onion Rings, and Maple Pancake Snaps. With this haul they fed the poor hungry devs at GDC 2025.

GDC, the PINK year, in review:

Old friends, good times, new friends, severance screening, forgotten names, reintroductions, mutual aid, SNACKIES, becoming a prize winning game-writer, and walking a gaggle of game devs to a Ukrainian restaurant to become the captive audience to my history lecture.
Larysa, with pink in their hair, is smiling in Yerba Buena gardens with an old and new connection behind them (also both smiling) right after their co-founder messaged them to send them photos of them at the conference for the indie company's social media, and they realized that they hadn't taken a single one and the conference was ending the very next day. Larysa with pink in their hair is smiling next alongside their old producer from Relic Entertainment, now at 2K, as they smile and take a selfie of the both of them in Yerba Buena, after a lunch catch-up that also turned into an impromptu collaboration meeting.
