I finally remembered that bluesky is a thing, have a picture of mocha and her babies (she's a mom now, a great one at that).

I finally went outside again! Depression has been on my ass recently so I've been minimizing my time outside. But, this was a nice break from being inside.

Nature preserves are my tied for my favorite place with my back yard. They're all over the place, I recommend visiting one.

Pictures are finally back, but I still plan on getting a better phone for pictures. Or getting a professional camera.

This is gochujang tofu, which you're probably familar with if you're vegan. It's great for a midnight snack as its quick to make. It also pairs extremely well with avacado.

I made a raspberry cheesecake while watching @demonmama.com and @riverboatjack.bsky.social ack.bsky.social! This was my first time having a cheesecake since going vegan. If you haven't picked up on it yet, every single thing that I make is vegan, if you'd like recipes for anything, you can just ask!

I made pasta alla norma today, it came out really well! It was my first time trying eggplant so I was nervous, but that nervousness was unwarranted. Eggplant is really good, better than I expected it to be.

I spent two hours outside with the birds today, I really enjoyed my time with them. Mocha jumped onto my hand and then sat on my leg for an hour, it was a wonderful experience! For the first time since they grew up, all of them ate out of my hand.

I went outside yesterday, I got some nice pictures of the birds! The time of day was perfect for pictures. I really enjoy spending time with the chickens, however, the turkeys will follow you around a peck at you constantly lol, and their pecks hurt a lot. I still love them dearly though

I baked a cake with my mom! Her favorite type is a yellow cake with chocolate frosting, so we made that together.

I spent about 2 hours outside with the birds tonight, sadly it got dark 30 or so minutes after I went out so I couldn't get many pictures.

Their names are in the alt text. Quacy and Brownie were chased away by the other ducks.

Ducks are killed at around 7 weeks old. This is my Pekin duck, she's the same type of duck that is used in factory farming. This is her at 6 weeks old.

In the second picture, she is next to a fully grown Indian running duck that's about 2 years old. That's what breeding has done to growth rates.

I found a kitten! It was extremely malnourished, I gave it some food and water but it was scared away by my turkey. I will be trying to get it used to me so I can take it to a vet to make sure it's doing well, and if it likes me, I'd like to adopt it!

It's the national dish of Morroco, but it's also often made in Algeria. This time, I used my recipe as I wanted to try doing an adaptation.

I made a delicious red lentil stew, it came out really well!

I made one of my favorite dishes tonight, it's called Harira! It's my mom's favorite dish, and it always leaves my basement (where I cook) smelling absolutely amazing.

This is Aurellia, her name means gold. She's a Golden Sebright and she's about 4 months old. She's very friendly, and she's also extremely stunning, especially in person, particularly as the sun is going down.

This is Mocha, she's a silkie! She's very calm, she sat on my lap for about 20 minutes and showed no interest in getting up.
