It is cruel and unnecessary for #SNAP benefits to stop, even with a shutdown.

Why is Trump in Asia now?
Why does Speaker Johnson NOT have the House in session to negotiate an end to the shutdown?

Fantastic Energy Innovation Summit yesterday! The amount of job-generating #CleanEnergy innovation happening in MN is so exciting. Great job Grid Catalyst!

“It is time to be bold and brave…” on climate change and clean energy. @freshenergy.bsky.social CEO Margaret Cherne-Hendrick.

Couldn’t agree more!

Thrilled to be recognized my MN Housing Partnership for housing policy leadership.

There is so much more work to do so that all Minnesotans can have a home they can afford in a place where they want to live.

Just tagged along for an hour with @metrotransitmn.bsky.social TRIP agents, who are doing fantastic work improving safety and the overall experience for transit customers. They check fares, answer questions, check stations, and help people get where they want to go.

I signed onto this statement in solidarity with Teamsters Local 320 and Farm Aid because the farm and labor movements are inseparable. We’re calling on the Univ of MN to return to the bargaining table in good faith. Let’s come together and reach a result that respects our workers and our farmers.

On Labor Day, I’m proud to stand with working families, not the ultrawealthy. The richest 1% of Minnesotans own nearly a THIRD of the state’s wealth. And they just got a massive tax cut from Trump and the GOP. We need an economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthiest few.

I am so deeply saddened by the horrific act of violence today in Minneapolis. My heart goes out to all those impacted.

I am posting the statement from the Minneapolis delegation - we stand with you.

Health care is a human right. Today, on the 60th anniv of the creation of #Medicaid & #Medicare, Trump & Republicans are taking us in the wrong direction.

We should be expanding access, not kicking people off healthcare. Everyone should have access to the care & coverage they deserve.

Fantastic, inspiring #GoodTrouble protest today organized by the seniors at Parkshore in St. Louis Park and @indivistwincities.bsky.social. Must have been close to 200 folks!

Favorite words overheard: "Never too old to organize"

What a relief that the killer has been caught. I'm enormously thankful for all the law enforcement personnel that came together to make it happen as quickly as it did.

This morning our DFL leader in the MN House of Representatives & my friend, Speaker Melissa Hortman, and her husband Mark were assassinated. I am absolutely devastated and am having trouble believing this is real, but it is. I'm so sorry for their kids and family.

Bad MN air quality today from #wildfires.
Welcome (again) to #climatechange which makes hot & dry conditions worse - which makes wildfires worse.

Forest fires are burning more than 2X the tree cover today as 2 decades ago (@worldresources.bsky.social)

Team House DFL Energy at the Heliene ribbon cutting for their new solar module manufacturing line in Rogers MN. 220 jobs, over 500MW per year. I loved Senator @amyklobuchar.com’s comment that she “loved the sound of MN jobs”

Simple question - what would Republicans have said if President Obama or President Biden had done this?

Perhaps ironic that we adopted a bipartisan resolution on National #Autism Acceptance month.

I hope my MN Republican colleagues send this to @rfk-junior.bsky.social.

ICYMI - on Monday all 67 MN House Republicans voted (successfully) against my amendment to change an absurd proposal in the House Transpo bill to increase annual reg tax on EVs by 167% to $200.

This is double what reasonably fuel efficient gas vehicles pay in gas tax.

Just a great town hall today in St. Louis Park on trans rights. Thank you @leighfinke.bsky.social, the office of @ag.state.mn.us and all the folks that came out for the important and timely discussion.

Republicans - is there something Trump could do that would be worth standing against him and risking your political career?

A perfect record.

@agellison.bsky.social testified in our House State Gov. Committee. Asked about lawsuits he’s filed to protect Minnesotans from illegal acts of the Trump administration, we learned his team has prevailed in all 11 cases so far.

A huge thanks to you and your team AG Ellison.

1st committee hearing for my DWI Interlock policy bill, that tries to address gaps highlighted by the Park Tavern tragedy last year. Thanks to SLP Mayor Nadia Mohamed, Police Chief Bryan Kruelle, and Methodist Hospital President Jen Myster for the support.

Excellent and inspiring meeting this past week with constituents from @unrestrictmn.bsky.social. Especially powerful hearing from young people concerned they won’t have the reproductive freedom their parents had. I also so appreciate their advocacy for the MN #ERA.

🍨 too!

Today, Sen Ron Latz & I announced bipartisan legislation to address repeat #DWI offenders, like the person who caused the tragedy at Park Tavern last summer.

Since then, it has been a top priority of mine to create legislation to try and stop repeat offenders from killing or injuring Minnesotans

Youth Day at the Capitol is a favorite of mine! Great to meet with these young people from Beth El and also Aven from Children First SLP‘s Youth for Change Coalition.

Had excellent discussions on affordable housing, mental health, & substance abuse.

First bill Republicans brought to Energy Committee (HF9) - would gut our critical 100% carbon-free law and…

Hurt: our economy as renewables are cheapest form of energy

Kill: more people with air pollution

Burden: our kids to have to clean up our mess.
