From 1875 to 1975, 6000 ships were lost on the Great Lakes.
Since November 10, 1975, zero ships have been lost.
Much of this is owed to technological advances, not just in shipbuilding and navigation, but also, crucially, in weather forecasting.

You watched Sir Patrick Stewart, an absolute legend who has always been willing to do all kinds of goofy stuff. Have you seen his bit on Extras? www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fg_c...

That feels about right. For me my test is always "Do I want to believe this a little *too* much?" This checks that box.

Do you have receipts for that or is it just a gut feeling? I'm not saying you're wrong, I don't really know who the guy is. I'm trying to find out.

The case for hope is the 2018 midterms. With Trump not in the ballot the Dems did really well. So... Well, I don't know. The wild card is how much the Rs can ramp up voter suppression tactics by next year.

It's all great news obviously, but I cannot get over the idea that this is much like the run-up to 2024. Dems won basically every special election leading up to that race, often by unheard of margins, then the Republicans went on a romp in the general and here we are.

Ha ha. My wife and I were in our 40s living in rural Missouri when we had our youngest. So many "Is this your grandbaby?" I had a series of answers, including "No I just found him unattended in the Walmart parking lot."

When I first got on here I subscribed to a couple of block lists but I'm wondering if I made a mistake. One thing I don't understand about them: Am I only blocking people who were on the list at the time I subscribed to it, or also to people who are added afterwards?

All the royals worldwide are inbred idiots with subpar morals. I cannot stand that the British royalty are now celebrities in America. We used to ignore those degenerate royal chuckleheads. They do not matter.
