I understand. I like the idea of the path ahead being lit. I think walking home like that would feel safer than just a tight bubble of light.

It really messes with a few of the local birds. We get birdsong 11pm at night but I get the need to be able to see your surroundings & path ahead clearly on a walk home.

Our local council's response is that the light supports the safety of shift workers & late night clubbers on their way out and/or return home.
