I climbed Mt St Helens on Tuesday, 9/16. This was my 4th time to the top in 5 attempts. Windy at times but gorgeous weather otherwise. It's a tough endeavor, physically and mentally, but so worth it for the views, for the accomplishment, for the self esteem.

“We may need [the wilderness] someday not only as a refuge from excessive industrialism but also as a refuge from authoritarian government, from political oppression. Grand Canyon, Big Bend, Yellowstone, and the High Sierras may be required to function as bases for guerrilla warfare against tyranny”
