Six years ago today 🌿

Aseroe rubra, the Anemone Stinkhorn Fungus, thrives on the rot of the forest floor on the Waihe’e Ridge trail. One of the stranger things I’ve seen, it should be called the Mind Flayer I think.

Sheet cake. Icing was a tad thick. Followed the recipe exactly but just have to modify the consistency next time. Think it’s the difference between weight and volume measurements.

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.

18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

We made this website to tell our story:

Yay. It’s time to make the very traditional scotched-up Irish Norwegian-American rip-off stroganoff. I’m sure it’d make a proper Slav cry but I added in some dill and it’s pretty tasty with the mushrooms and sour cream.

More bread. Looks a bit better this time because I had a little bit of butter to put on top. Looking forward to getting outside when it gets warmer.

Hope to have a lot of interesting pictures soon.
