Same thing happens to me. I wonder if it might have something to do with ADHD; if your environment is stimulating you, your brain can relax; if it's quiet, your brain needs to create its own stimulus. Have you tried going to sleep with white noise or something?

The patches mean something to you, right? Unless you chose them at random or purely for aesthetic purposes, each one reflects a facet of you. Each one is a statement. So, if you feel like your jacket is saying enough, you're done; if not, more patches.
