I really enjoyed it

I hate, I hate, I hate this trope. One of big complaints with modern superhero movies MoS, AoU etc., why would anyone trust them?

Overall I really like it. Like any retelling it does some things I like and some things I’m not sure about. The leads are all engaging. I appreciate that it has a colorful palette and isn’t grey and drab like a lot of modern stories about the Middle Ages.

So hooked in by the tragic queer love story, I snapped up the audiobook
