Yeah! Part of the reason I got into the DKC series is because my dad played the first game in his 20's (I think) when it came out. It's not that common that you'll see someone *this* young get into DKC lmao.

About the blog post I talked about yesterday, I might post it today, tomorrow or at least sometime this week. Tbh I don't know, it isn't really about me but rather about one of my favourite DKC characters (just a little teaser hehe).

I made a "Pirates of Penzance" reference in the caption when I posted this on tumblr and someone commented this. I will sell my soul to see this version of PoP, I swear I will.

If there's one thing to say about this, at least K. Rool has a (deeply rotten) *soul*, and that's much better than having absolutely none like AI. There's some kind of flair he (and pretty much every human-made fictional character) has that no amount of AI can replicate no matter what.

When I first saw the Rock Kroc renders I thought they looked like mummies because of their skin texture.

Also they look pretty cute front-facing for some reason, maybe its their huge eyes and lack of nostrils. I guess their scariness comes from their function in the game itself.

I'd like to think Mr X. used to be famous in the 19th century but fell into obscurity so hard afterwards that nobody bothers to learn about him anymore nor speculate his ghostly presence lol.

Despite all the love and slightly convoluted headcanons I have for Mr. X, I'd choose Kackle simply because of how he fits so well as a pirate with the rest of DKC2 kremlings. Mr X. to me seems more of a royal navy commander from the mid-1800s than someone who could be affiliated with pirates.
