Portrait of "Mr. X" (real name unknown) dated 1859. Mr. X has his plumed bicorne, red sash, medals and eppaulette on. His hooked hand is tucked in his jacket as a sign of restraint, although whether he did or did not have that in actuality is unknown. He has a sword on his side that has the [readable] engraved words "MDCCCILX - VIVAT KROKODILI". His scales are smooth, green and clean, although that's rather a romanticised depiction of him. In reality he would've lots and lots of blemishes on his face (as present in his actual, ghost design). (Can you tell these are far fetched headcanons of mine by the design and alt texts😭) Same picture as previous but now it's darker, ripped and in a cool-toned environment. There's a bright silhouette of the now ghostly Mr. X. He's seems furious, I guess good times had to pass (even if it was more than a century ago). His fall from grace made him drop into obscurity for many decades, to the point that if you ask anyone about him, they'll just shrug or think you made him up. (Have you noticed that I mainly draw DKC*2* fanart? Well guess which one of the DKC trilogy is my favourite-)

Oddly, the ghost on the left appears to be tucking its victim into bed.

Two drawings of my oc Evgeny Kurtichev, who has a mustache, sideburns, a powdered wig, a slightly loose cravat and wearing typical 18th century fasioned clothes. One drawing is in a reference window fully coloured and shaded (this ones from 5 January 2024) and the other is flat coloured and shaded (from today, 25th October 2025). Fun Fact! : Evgeny is meant to be the father of another oc who appears in a discord server based fanfic made by my friends. The fanfic’s basically the French Revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic Wars if the historical figures involved were replaced by our sonas. I had an oc/sona that basically served as a combination of different generals of the Russian Empire in the 18-19th century (mostly Alexander Suvorov). Unfortunately the fanfic never got finished due to losing interest but, I still cherish all the ocs created for it!

220 years ago, on the 21st of October 1805, a British fleet let by Lord Nelson defeated a combined French and Spanish fleet at the Battle of Trafalgar. The victory confirmed the start of an era of British naval supremacy. Nelson himself was shot and died before the battle ended. #otd #history 🗃️
This map showing the all-important wind direction, which was NNW (or NW). Both fleets were sailing downwind, with the wind on different tacks. They were thus converging on the centre of the combined fleet, at the vertex of the angle of convergence. Seeing the battle about to begin, the French-Spanish wore ship and began to close-haul in the reverse direction. Villeneuve thought to bring the whole van crashing down on Nelson in the centre, but he lost headway against the wind and could not close. Meanwhile his former rear, now his van, appeared to Nelson to be escaping to Cadiz. He brought the weather column into the wind to pursue and caught them. The business in the centre was finished by Collingwood, lee column commander, who took on the new enemy rear piecemeal as it came slowly into range.
