I write about games here:

Pretty much what I expected. It's a fun, competent 3D platformer with small, linear levels. Trying for gold on the time trials has been, occasionally, quite tough.

Have not played a single second of any of these games except the Stellar Blade demo.
What are we playing first?

Heart of Darkness #PS1
I don't know much about this which is why I decided to start playing it today. Some very unique graphic styles in a slow paced action platformer, there is definitely a unique vibe here.
It's been fun so far, looking forward to more.

Really great. The emphasis on gravity and speed both pay off quite well. Clank's sections aren't the first time in this series I would like to play a full 3-5 game in that style. Instantly one of my favorites in the series even with the 5hr length

Also, cheap games: Zone of Enders 2 and Fallout New Vegas

Ratchet & Clank Into the Nexus #PS3
This will leave Deadlocked as the last R&C Wiki page bold letter game I haven't played.
I had a good time with Quest for Booty, I think a short runtime works well for this series (as do the longer ones).

Great game. It's basically playing a high quality animated television show where you get to make choices. I'm curious enough to go back through it a little later to see how else it could play out.

This is one of the easiest recommendations of the day if you like 2D, retro-inspired action platformers.

A great strategy RPG with customization depth I've not seen anywhere else. The fast forward button is worth the price of admission alone.
I plan on finding all the stuff I missed later, but a bit burnt out for now.

Have revisited this a few times since initially beating it, but this is only the second time I've hit the credits. Missed two fairies and then NG+ (ugh) to complete the platinum.
Always a good time, glad to see almost everything in this one.

Sticking with new or new-to-me, we've got four all-timers right here.

Initially most famous for being the game you got along with the FFVIII demo disc, Brave Fencer Musashi is a wonderful action-adventure game from peak SquareSoft. Good, fun combat mixed with fun abilities and charming tone.
It is in my top 5 on the PS1.

Tunde Adebimpe - "Thee Black Bolts"
A great 2025 solo album from the TV on the Radio frontman. Hits many of the "familiar, but different" notes you would expect from a lead singer solo album, it's one of my favorites of the year.

Played the first episode and had a good time. Pretty interesting story from the start, the trial gameplay section was fun.
Curious to see where it goes.

This games looks interesting to me, although I've not really loved any adventure games of that type.
Anybody who isn't generally a fan of the genre try this? Thoughts?

I wandered into it while playing, it appears to be some challenges with new transformations as rewards. The few I tried were really tough, will have to return with a fuller roster.

Fun game.
Fun game.
I made it through the full Super Career mode, so I'm counting it.
What an amazing extreme sports title. There's more to the mechanics than it initially seems, a fun racing game with depth and fun tricks as well.
Pure fun.

He doesn't think there's any way it is better than Age of Calamity.

What silly, dumb fun this thing is! The controls are great which provides a wonderful baseline for the action.
It's good as a pure racing game with the wild tracks and punching opponents, but it also adds a fun trick mechanic.

Craig Finn - "We All Want the Same Things"
Probably my favorite Finn-releated release this side of "Boys & Girls In America" which is saying a lot because I really do like most of The Hold Steady albums.
Come for "God in Chicago" and stay for a really consistent set of tunes.
