Look, I'm not Catholic but I can assure you that there would have been a market for this.

Been distracting myself over on Threads. It’s getting wild over there. Engagement bait abound.

Might give this place another try.

I was looking into rearranging my home tech provider set-up & was deliberating whether to move my cell phone service from t-mobile over to verizon.

Then someone reminded me that t-mobile has a contract with starlink.

👀

Reader, she made the switch.

Sometimes when I’m stuck, all I have to do is ask the question out loud and without further prompting, the answer comes to me in it’s time.

It’s a process. I trust it.

I just wish other people would trust my process, too.

I’ve had a low key cough the past few weeks. I’m pretty sure it’s just seasonal allergies and/or the dust accumulating in my apartment since my vacuum cleaner broke.

But after having RSV in Jan, & covid in Feb, I keep worrying that this is gonna end up being a virus too. 🦠😭🚫

I’m gonna start taking the day after daylight savings as a personal holiday from work. The impacts on my middle aged AuDHD body are real.

On top of me needing adjustment time, my kid will need extra support getting out the door for school tomorrow. Double the impact, double the fun. 🫠
Daylight saving time causes lower productivity and higher health care costs, studies say
A vast body of research shows that every year, the shift to daylight saving time needlessly exacerbates various health risks, disrupting millions of Americans’ sleep and increasing the likelihood of a...

Let’s be clear. Working people should absolutely be able to thrive on their wages.

But paying Trump/Elon lackeys anything at all to orchestrate the firing of tens of thousands of other workers is the actual injustice. The amount is just salt on the wound.
Elon Musk staffers are drawing six-figure government salaries funded by taxpayers.

Holding my kids while they are sleeping is the greatest peace I know. Yes, that includes my teenager, who will soon pass me up in height! Something about that co-regulation - or maybe the call-back to the early days of exhaustion & oxytocin - makes everything ok again.

You might not see it in the mainstream media, but over 10,000 people protested today at Tesla showrooms across the country, another 10,000+ rallied in support of national parks, and more than 1,000 gathered in Vermont to protest Vance’s visit.

Going back to physical therapy for the sole purpose of accountability. I already know the exercises, but as an ADHD-er I’ve learned to identify my non-preferred tasks & PT reps isn’t it! 😤 But by pegging those tasks to an external motivator, I can override my internal resistance & do the thing. 🧠💪🏼😁

I have long understood that our children do not belong to us. They are star people on loan to us from the universe.

This morning, while reflecting on transitions taking place right now in my family, I became acutely aware of how our parents too are ancestors just passing through.

I was just in a deep dive on the history of lobotomy. Yikes.

The story of Rosemary Kennedy is so emblematic of patriarchy & misogyny;
behaviorism & authoritarianism,
and how we are taught that these are the only legitimate manifestations of power.

Turns out, they are not.

It’s been known for a while that people with disabilities - including people who are Autistic, ADHD, hypermobile, etc. - have a greater risk of experiencing lasting & persistent symptoms after a covid infection. The evidence just keeps piling up.
"The COVID-19 pandemic has been especially hard on individuals with disabilities. New research from [KU] shows that this population is also experiencing long COVID at significantly higher rates than the general population..."
