Joined Mayor Cowell for the Creamery redevelopment groundbreaking. Highline Glenwood will be Raleigh’s tallest residential tower, preserving the historic Creamery—bringing new homes, retail, and amenities to downtown. 🏗️ #ralpol #raleigh

Grateful to spend the morning at the Raleigh Chamber’s First Responders Appreciation Breakfast honoring those who keep our community safe. Proud to stand with Raleigh Police Chief Rico Boyce as we celebrate the incredible service of our first responders.

I’m honored to be selected once again by my peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® for Family Law 2026 edition. Recognition like this is meaningful because it reflects the respect of my colleagues. In addition to my elected role, I remain committed to serving my clients.

Violence against the LGBTQIA+ community, especially transgender folks, is increasing, including right here in Raleigh. I condemn this hate and harm, and we all have a duty to speak out against it.

Proud to have the support of Hon. Sig Hutchinson, former Chair of Wake County Board of Commissioners; a leader on expanding open spaces, greenways, and transportation options; I plan to continue this work.

Join us for a reception 8/21!

During COVID we implemented “streeteries” which convert parking into outdoor seating for businesses. A few years later when many other cities were dismantling them, we made ours permanent. Now we’re making them prettier w/ help from Raleigh Arts 🤩 #ralpol @downtownraleigh.bsky.social

10 years of marriage equality. 🏳️‍🌈

On June 26, 2015, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Obergefell v. Hodges, legalizing same-sex marriage across the country.

Thank you to everyone who fought to make it possible. I couldn’t imagine my life any other way.

I’ve worked to make our city more sustainable, reducing car dependency and expanding green spaces.

A robust greenway system is also critical to the health and sustainability of our county. Join me and other greenway supporters for a campaign reception.

🌈 Happy Pride Month!

I’m proud to serve as an openly gay elected official. Pride is a reminder that everyone deserves to live safely and authentically.

Now more than ever, it’s important to push for equality and uplift each other—this month and every month. #ralpol #wakepol

We’re a 1-car household which means sometimes we have to get creative if we both travel. Yesterday, my husband had the car at the airport for work; I took the train to Cary for an event, but he was able to pick me up when he landed since the return train schedule didn’t work. 🥰

I joined @domesticworkers.bsky.social for Day Without Childcare with my friend and Durham Co. Commissioner @nidaallam.bsky.social

Child care is not a luxury. It is a necessity. It allows parents to work, gives children a strong start in life, and strengthens our economy. #ralpol #wakepol
