If people aren't all answering the same question, then a poll question can certainly be said to be poorly worded. Still, this is still better than the other, even worse question you sometimes see: "Do you trust the media?" 🤦

Impossible to put stock into such silly questions! How can you ask people if they trust TV news that includes CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, OANN? What kind of lunatic would trust all TV news when channels are telling you opposite things? Only an idiot would say yes, even if they trust the news they watch!

It's extraordinary how much of the US press is right wing or at least anti-left. The slanted coverage Mamdani gets really serves to highlight that fact.

Nah, I always loved working with good editors. For example, I enjoyed working for WSJ, a very editor-heavy publication. Arguing with an editor helps me crystallize my ideas. Maybe I just like to argue.

That "Dems nationally say" nonsense is also the sort of thing I rap my students on the knuckles for. Really? Do they all say that in perfect chorus? Are they a hive mind like the Borg? Or are you, the author, just sticking your opinion in the mouths of Democrats?

What a silly faux-scandal. I guarantee that no one of any culture is referring to their parent's cousin as their "first cousin once removed" in casual conversation. That's just nonsense. Anyone pretending there's a real scandal here is a hack.

The unfathomable political malpractice of sitting by and watching your opponents gut every reliable source of information and replace it with a propaganda network dedicated to telling everyone you suck! (If you think you've got the facts on your side, do everything to protect the factual press!)

Fair enough! But the monitor arm is still a good trick that has helped me avoid looking like Quasimodo (or at least delay that eventuality).
