Do you rent, own, or manage an RSO unit?

The annual allowable rent increase for rent-stabilized (RSO) units in the City of Los Angeles is 3% beginning July 1, 2025. An additional 1% for gas and 1% for electric service can be added if the landlord provides the service to the tenant.

This morning, LAHD joined United to House LA (ULA) coalition members and supporters at the future site of Enlightenment Plaza - a 177-unit affordable housing complex funded by ULA - to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of changing lives and building affordable homes with Measure ULA! 🎉

LAHD is proud to celebrate the groundbreaking of Rosa’s Place, a new seven-story permanent supportive housing community coming to Skid Row.

This project will offer 97 affordable housing units for women experiencing homelessness and survivors of domestic violence.

In January 2025, the LA City Council established an annual Just Cause Enforcement Fee to be paid on an annual basis by owners of rental units not subject to the RSO.

The LA City Council approved eviction protection for those that have unauthorized persons or pets that were displaced due to the recent fires.

⚠️ In order to be protected from eviction, the tenant must notify their landlord in writing by March 25, 2025.

Free eviction defense assistance provided by the Shriver Project is available in-person at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse and remotely by calling 818-492-5211. Support is available in any language and regardless of immigration status.
