I used to work with kids at a school with several trans kids and none of the kids were confused by it at all. One of them said to me, "That's my friend, when she was born they thought she was a boy, but it turns out she's really a girl." That was it.

My parents also seem to believe I am harming myself by being kind to other as a default. I don't really get it.

Honestly the worst part for me was when they wanted me to pee in a cup for a pregnancy test beforehand and I was so dehydrated from the prep. The prep did suck but it wasn't THAT bad.

I would rather have a world where we all trust each other and accept that a few people will take advantage of it than a world where folks have to perform disability constantly in order to get the help they need. Let kids have an extra 30 minutes on the test, jesus fucking christ

Absolutely. I worked part time and it was exhausting. I had classmates who worked full time, some of them were parents, and I have no idea how they managed.

I am old and I love the 6-7 thing. It's so nonsensical. I am convinced half the kids are just saying it to irritate their parents, and it's working.

Definitely nonsense. There are a couple of very good state universities in MA that have very affordable counseling/clinical psychology MA programs. I know, I went to one.

I'm a therapist and when I was an intern I had a client with anxiety and panic, nothing I could come up with helped. Until she told me she was taking Adderall to help her study. It never occurred to her that could be contributing, poor kid.
