We lost Tootsie in 2024 to squamous cell carcinoma, slightly less than 2 years after we adopted her. She went from being extremely shy and scared to being friendly and loving in those two years. I joke that she came into my life just to bring me sadness but in truth I don't have any regrets.

Momma lived as an outdoor cat at my parents' house most of her life, and then we took her in to retire as a housecat in 2020. We lost her in 2023, but she had a long happy life.

This is Spot, we lost him in 2022 to HCM at only 8 years old. He did everything turned up to 11, and I miss him every day.

I have New England Asters growing in my yard and they are absolutely swarmed with pollinators right now.

My (indoor) cat has a heated bed and it is probably the best money I've ever spent on anything for her. I have literally never been as comfortable in my whole life as she is in that thing.

Today is Suzie's (and her late brother Spot's) Gotcha Day. 11 years ago I grabbed them from my parents' back yard. As you can see, they clearly didn't understand it was actually the best day of their lives.
