When a court ruled that the Ford government couldn't pass unconstitutional voter suppression legislation, Ford used the NWC to pass it anyway.

And then we had an election with the smallest voter turnout ever, handing a second term to Ford.

Remember, we’ll never get a good sense of what people will do under safe conditions, by watching what some are willing to do under unsafe conditions. Building smart mobility is about supporting the choices we need more people to make, by providing smart, safe, enjoyable infrastructure for them.

As we wrote about last year, once the Beer Store closes, the LCBO will be ended. Loblaws will get the contract to distribute booze in Ontario.

There's a Weston on the board of directors of the LCBO to ensure that.

A new report found that Elon Musk faced at least $2.37 billion in potential legal liability from 11 federal agencies on inauguration day.

Many are now on DOGE's chopping block or have dropped their investigations into Musk's corporations.

"Conflict of interest" is an understatement.

Pierre Poilievre is trying to stay on & in Stornaway against the Parliament Act of Canada. He is not eligible for that position. He cannot be the official leader, or remain in the residence, and we’re not letting this go. Canadians rejected him, the #cdnmedia does not get to re-install him #cdnpoli

“One mile on a bike is a $.42 economic gain to society, one mile driving is a $.20 loss.”

“Which means that Copenhagen, a city of 1.2 million people, saves $357 million a year on health costs because something like 80% of its population commutes by bike.” #CityMakingMath

Some costs aren’t costs.
One mile on a bike is a $.42 economic gain to society, one mile driving is a $.20 loss
Copenhagen, the bicycle-friendliest place on the planet, publishes a biannual Bicycle Account, and buried in its pages is a rather astonishing fact.

Poilievre shouldn’t get to say a single thing about Carney’s fully costed platform until he has released his own fully costed platform.

If he ever does release one.

Maybe Pierre’s costed platform is like the security clearance everyone else has, but PP keeps making excuses about.

Never coming.

Ford runs all the municipalities now, and can appoint your mayor. Who can veto council.

Your vote has been rendered irrelevant at the municipal level.

Team Ford recently appointed a Super Mayor for York Region. An ex-pig, naturally.

Seems like a good time to remind us about how bad a Prime Minister Stephen Harper was, and how bad he’s been since losing, putting all his energy into championing extreme right wing autocrats around the world, including Trump/MAGA.

Harper was campaigning with Poilievre yesterday. Two peas in a pod.
Every time Pierre Poilievre brings up Mark Carney’s history with Justin Trudeau as an attack (which will be pretty much constant), Canadians should remember Poilievre’s much longer/ongoing (and much more concerning) relationship with Stephen Harper. And through Harper, every right-wing autocrat.

So the predictable “90 day pause” on tariffs from Trump has led to a huge spike in the stock market. Whoever “bought the dip“ is making a staggering amount of money. The United States used to investigate market manipulation and insider trading. Who knows what, if anything will happen these days.
