Hi everyone. I've been painting some large very dark paintings recently.I wonder why ha, so I decided to show you a bright cheerful painting to sort of balance things up a bit. This is 70 x 90cm acrylic on canvas.

This was taken in Malta, the boat is a small fishing boat
called a Luzzo and the lighthouse leads to the film studios.
I love the old stone. I can almost smell the sea💙
Most of the photo comprises a beautiful blue sea. A tiny slice of pale blue sky at the top. On the right is a red topped lighthouse surrounded by mellow old sandstone walls. A boat which looks tiny, with 3 men rowing is just about to pass the lighthouse.

A waterway enclosed by apartment buildings of various heights - not skyscrapers just medium. There is a narrow pontoon in the middle of the water with metal access bridges, A tall masted ship is anchored, the sails are furled. There are many many windows.

Touching my toes. That's one of the exercises I was doing as I painted this piece . Such fun - everytime I completed a move I painted or made a mark, the music helped of course.
