One of the core tenets of techno-feudalism to me is that those with means are capable of living free of the tools they use to capture the labour of, and monopolise the time of those who have to use such tools to survive.
Didn't see this at the time, but it definitely speaks to the social engineering bit of re-feudalisation.
The monied classes will have functional, literate offspring with access to the High Arts, while the serfs will be socially & intellectually zombified via relentless, force-fed audiovisual slop.

My gosh. This should be leading every news outlet in America today — a top official gives first-hand proof that the US took Israel's side after its soldiers killed our Palestinian-American press colleague, Shireen Abu-Akleh:

The remnants of Typhoon Halong battered western Alaska overnight. Homes, with people in them, have literally been swept into the Bering Strait.
