That was my mother. In case people were wondering, she was a teetotaler, non drinker.

Liver doctor said she never should have been put on Tamoxifin at her age for such a minor, contained cancer. Even if the cancer had spread later she would have had years not months and I can say death by liver failure is horrendous compared to many deaths from cancer.

She had a tiny lump, none in lymph. It was removed. She was well, active, independent, 79. There's a warning with Tamoxifin tablets, it can cause liver failure. No one was monitoring. She didn't know. By the time she got symptoms it was too late, which was 6 mths after starting. Lived 6 more mths.

My mother didn't want to know so we didn't tell her the details. I could see in her eyes she knew she was dying. She had liver failure caused by Tamoxifin. As it progressed and she needed drainage treatment her cognition was progressively affected. She changed alot. Horrible.

Sadly my MIL died terribly when my youngest was 13. She fell over backwards crossing a city road where she shouldn't have. A truck couldn't stop, drove over her. My eldest saw it on the news before Grandpa called, he knew it was her. It was shocking hearing my husband's cries when his dad told him.

If you're over 65 you can have it 6 monthly or like me if you're under and have multiple high risk health issues.

It actually is good practice but nothing prepares for the loss of actual loved humans. Like grandmas. The loss of a pet can be very sad though.

I've had people bypass me, go down a different shopping aisle or fake need to stop and turn away

The Queensland side of our family (BIL, his adult kids) are the most ignorant about covid. Never wore masks. Have been sick but say never had covid, except teo daughters who did get very sick at least once. They saw our N95s and said they'd never seen one.

Sometimes you can tell because they look exactly the same and same dimensions. I usually do a google image search

I have one. Get an arm one, not wrist. More accurate. They’re super easy to use!
