Actually, many cases of acid reflux are due to too little stomach acid, not too much. Low acid = poor digestion = pressure = reflux. That’s why HCl helped. Antacids often treat symptoms, not root causes. The “too much acid” theory isn’t the whole story.

The collapse of online etiquette may well stem from the fact that many now enter society through the servants’ entrance of the Internet—no guidance, no parlour rules, and certainly no calling cards. Thus, every opinion becomes a duel, and every troll receives a curtsy.
Case in point: lost are the days of "don't feed the trolls" being a common sentinent. Now people throw themselves to the trolls wearing a suit made of meat.
