So what happens when a fact or issue where there is scientific consensus gets coded as "left-leaning"?
(This isn't a q for @jayrosen.bsky.social...I'm just at a loss of what to do if media articles have a policy of Just Ask Questions or "include an opposing view" in the name of fairness/balance.)

Been press criticizing online for 20+ years. This is one of the dumbest things I have come across. (It's mindlessly symmetrical, so the needle goes all the way to "unfair right leaning.") Please don't tell me it's not a new idea. I didn't say it was. And as you can tell, I am not in a good mood. 😎

Good news, Altmetric has now started watching BlueSky for mentions of publications. And by the way, provides an easy comparison between this and the old site for a recent preprint of mine which I posted simultaneousl at both. Numbers speak by themselves !
