This is less absurd than the time a hen do in Cardiff insisted on taking a photo with me because they thought I looked like Gok Wan.

As the afternoon progresses, a new strip of shade will appear on the other side of the yard. By 4pm it will have the capacity for either me or my partner to resume sitting outdoors in the shade.

Someone who has never given any thought to how toddlers experience the world, or observed how adults respond to their behaviour?

The Fates were smiling on me this evening.
