With states like Texas who are trying to silence Black votes and redraw district maps, it's up to us to protect our political representation.

We have the power to make a lasting change!

Prop 50 is California's attempt to temporarily change congressional district maps, which can add more 5 Democratic seats to counter Texas' partisan redistricting which passed to give more power to the Republican party.

👉🏿 This is another reminder that Black workers are always expected to wait, stretch, and sacrifice. This week we’re talking about what that really looks like in our communities.

💬 How has the government shut down affected you? What are your thoughts about the shut down?

This shut down directly affects Black workers, with many working as Federal workers, to be impacted mentally, emotionally and most importantly financially, which can cause negative ripple effects in our communities.
