What has been your experience as a government employee?

With this being the first government shutdown in over 7 years, this disrupts the lives of federal workers especially Black Workers. This creates a financial and mental strain that will have lasting impacts in the coming months.

ICE raids and the associated police/military presence have wreaked havoc upon our communities.

🏳️‍🌈 We celebrate Barbara Smith, a Black, Feminist, LGBTQ+ icon and co-founder of Combahee River Collective (CRC) in the 1970s.

⛓️‍💥 The CRC was a Black feminist collective that challenged racism in the feminist movement and sexism and homophobia within the Civil Rights Movement.
