(3) Conrad Veidt is of course the standout here among the cast. No such better than this shot where his eyes glance with demonic power.

(2) There's a running gag throughout the film where train tunnels delay the action (a gag that of course goes back to Edwin S Porter). But I've never seen this gag *literally* delay the action as Forde does here with the protagonist attempting to declare his innocence.

Becca Lewis has done a lot of really great work on this stuff.
