We have an inalienable right to protest.

Nobody has the right to attack police officers at those protests.

Nobody has the right to make others feel unsafe because of their skin colour, their faith or their background.

@metpoliceuk.bsky.social needs extra funding to police protests.

Today I'm joining up with @labourmarina.bsky.social across parties to speak out together against hate and rising #islamophobia. As Muslim women elected to represent all Londoners, we're proud of the diversity which others try to attack. Together, we are stronger. Together, we are London.

Last night’s @lambeth_council’s third Annual Pride Reception was amazing.

With London’s highest LGBTQ+ population, we celebrated Lambeth’s diversity and inclusive culture.

Great local food, local organisations, the fantastic Homoparody and a Deputy Leader in a beautiful sari

It is always an honour to see the Armed Forces flag raised at City Hall.

Today ahead of Armed Forces Day, we celebrated and showed our support for the people who are currently serving, veterans, reservists, and their families.
Thank you.

City Hall’s leadership on the National Underground Asset Register is improving how street works are done in London and reducing disruption to road users.

I was joined by Technology Secretary Peter Kyle to see how utilities share data to make street works more efficient.

The Windrush generation played a huge role in supporting London’s public transport network.

Delighted to see that important legacy being celebrated this Sunday for Windrush Day with a special festival of music at Dalston Junction Overground station.

Great news for Lambeth!
Thanks to @sadiqkhanlondon.bsky.social’s funding, streets in Brixton will be transformed into open-air dining areas over the summer, where people can relax with loved ones, be entertained by live performances, and see the best of Brixton's market traders.
Brixton, Leyton, Shoreditch and the West End.

These are the first areas that will benefit from new outdoor dining, car-free streets and later opening hours this summer thanks to funding from City Hall.

The housing crisis is a major issue for Londoners. This announcement by @SadiqKhan shows his ongoing commitment towards maximising housing supply, including affordable homes and growing the economy - all whilst increasing public access to green spaces and improving biodiversity.
City Hall’s new position will be to actively explore the release of parts of London’s green belt for development.

We'll be working with councils and others to secure as many new homes as we can on brownfield sites, but this alone will not be enough to meet our needs.
