- lots more holes to pick but it is really the inconsistent world-view that irritates me. When it suits the storyline they just make up some new thing, exactly like John Scalzi does in the excellent 'Redshirts' [just read].

- the episode I saw says it'll take 2 days for a message to get to star fleet, yet Spock's fiance appears there in an unstated but surely lesser time span, & often they seem to use 'sub space' to get rapid messages

-how often do they fly through patches of huge asteroids/debris, when they could fly around? These thing cannot form mega barriers in space - yet how do they avoid them at 'warp speed'?! 😄
