I've been considering becoming a death doula for some time. It's crap like this that keeps pushing me in that direction.

Our relationship to death in this culture is beyond dysfunctional. There are so many factors playing into that but this is the epitome of sticking our heads in the sand that we're all mortal.

It is truly painful that a vocal minority has warped my faith into something hateful. I know it's history, but faith isn't something we can just give up. I see what churches like mine do in our communities and hope it upsets the trauma others cause. I dunno, daily personal struggle.

I remember post Geocities, when you could be hosted on someone's own domain if you didn't have your own. And I desperately wanted to be hosted by someone cool. And everything was super tiny pixel art and fonts.

I love moments like that where it all comes together and it just feels right and good.
