I'm sure you realize there are people, many of them, whose very JOBS are to do this. What's the party responsible for if you aren't willing to grant that those running it ALSO have agency? And, they pay millions of dollars to people for advising, strategizing, etc.

You thought that was lecturing? Seriously?
January 1, 2026 at 6:33 PM
omg
January 1, 2026 at 6:31 PM
Stop lecturing me - I'm a grown up person. I *have* and *do* talk to people about their racism - calling out their racist comments and correcting a lot of bs. Same for policy issues. Too many people in this thread are making wildly wrong assumptions.

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out. I'm not sure if you meant to be insulting, so I'll overlook the eye roll.
I think the Dem party has neglected state politics too long and hasn't put enough emphasis on building their bench, so to speak. They've given up on 'red states' like mine.
January 1, 2026 at 6:27 PM
I'm a monthly donor to support Dem candidates in my red state. For the love of g*d, take a hard look at what some call centrist Dems.
January 1, 2026 at 6:23 PM
I do that. But I think there's a lot more to be done to overcome people who grew up in households where racism runs rampant. My kids grew up as military brats and had friends of all kinds. Some people simply are not reachable.
January 1, 2026 at 6:20 PM
ffs. You're off the charts here.
January 1, 2026 at 6:06 PM
Sure. I'm all ears. Tell me how we make that happen!
January 1, 2026 at 6:04 PM
*I* didn't say or think this was a real solution. YOU showed a chart with that being the ONLY point and saying the solution was obvious - and didn't elaborate on what the solution is that you think was so obvious.
January 1, 2026 at 6:02 PM
lol I've held my nose & voted for the Dem candidate that I did not like many times bc of the 'lesser evil' thing. I thought YOU were the one who said you were done with the discussion. I didn't say that.
January 1, 2026 at 6:00 PM
Good to see. I hope to see more of it.
January 1, 2026 at 5:57 PM
I'd love to see their report that they refuse to release. Martin claims they will be taking corrective actions so it will be interesting to see if we can observe any differences.
January 1, 2026 at 5:50 PM
AND I see this irrationality here. Do you honestly think it's *helpful* to conduct this conversation as it has been? Surely, if you just adopt an arrogant angry hostile attitude in lecturing the voters you claim control the outcome it will improve the situation next time? lol I don't think so.
January 1, 2026 at 5:38 PM
I'm a grown up person who realized decades ago that people do not always make rational decisions and that is too often true in elections. I don't understand how anyone thinks there is ONE single reason for tens of millions of people to make the choice they did.
January 1, 2026 at 5:35 PM
You have no idea how she voted, do you?
January 1, 2026 at 5:30 PM
'People on the left?'
Good god. Are we now pretending we know the political position of tens of millions of people who did not vote?
January 1, 2026 at 5:30 PM
What's the solution? Don't let white people vote?
January 1, 2026 at 5:28 PM
Yes, I did pay attention. Maybe you missed the "outcome of every single election" part?
How many reasons do you think nonvoters had for not voting? Wild guess? I'd say there are probably HUNDREDS of reasons, at least - considering 80 million people didn't vote.
January 1, 2026 at 5:19 PM
I was responding to "...outcome of every single election..." but that's just ONE example.
January 1, 2026 at 5:17 PM
I was responding to the person who brought in "every" election.
January 1, 2026 at 5:16 PM
lol Look at that loser poser!
January 1, 2026 at 2:08 PM
I realize there's a temptation to settle on some simple explanation, but I don't see how it's the voters' fault for having only one option on the ballot for a particular election. That happens to a LOT of districts in my red state with no Dem running in the race!
January 1, 2026 at 1:02 PM
They also seem to lack reading comprehension skills. Weird.
January 1, 2026 at 7:14 AM
lol
Heritage's 'sampling' is probably 100% of what they could find, many of those are known to be republican voters trying to cheat and STILL can't seem to do the math. 'Hundreds' (I doubt) is what fraction of 150+ million? Dreams die hard, don't they?
