This school street woonerf (yes, it's open to cars) in Eindhoven is one of my favorites. The street is on the redeveloped Philips Electronics industrial estate and the city has retained some of the overhead conveyances, which now provide mounting points for play equipment.

Thankfully, this professional knows me well and knows that I operate from a baseline of integrity and desire for improvement of the profession that makes me tenacious in that effort. They acknowledged that our laughter over the hurdles masked frustration. I am now even more amped for this lecture.

I knew unis were losing money. I know all sorts of educational places are being impacted - including some of the projects I am privileged to work on. And still….this is my first professional experience of having to consider how I frame FACTS in my presentation to these students. 4/x

That students feel emboldened in the actions by federal and state administrations to maintain personal beliefs and not actually learn anything (my paraphrase) with the varied lectures presented to them. 3/x

This is the first year the professor has contacted me ahead of time to warn about the flagged words they aren’t allowed to say to maintain federal and state funding. About a hotline our massively problematic State AG set up to “report indoctrination” in class lectures. And about their concern… 2/x
