Donald Trump and Elon Musk think this country belongs to them. They're taking everything they can get their hands on & daring the world to stop them. On April 5th, we're taking to the streets nationwide to say: Hands Off! #HandsOff #April5 handsoff2025.com

More whimsy today in @carlasonheim.bsky.social Carla Sonheim’s 2025 Art Club. Today we rough-stitched a stuffed pony. I named mine "Bobber, the Plaid Pony" and he’s a gift to my dad, Bob, for his 90th birthday.

"Be what scares them. Live lives in colors their eyes can’t even see. Cook food they want to deport. Call someone you haven’t in a while. Fight with a smile. Fail and come back. Be weird. Be welcoming. Kiss converts. Refuse despair. Be disobedient. Laugh loudly. Hide someone. Call out. Root down."

Nothing screams HYPOCRITE quite like Trump complaining about & gutting school loan forgiveness for grads dedicated to service & bettering our communities while he’s had HUNDREDS of MILLIONS in debt forgiven due bankruptcy 6 times.

I’m part of @carlasonheim.bsky.social Carla Sonheim’s 2025 Art Club. We meet twice monthly on Zoom. Recently we did quick contour drawings of vintage buttons on Etsy. Next, we lightly drew "lazy lines.” Then, we added our vintage button flowers and color. It was a truly meditative practice.

I found this fascinating. It’s a visual experience of what it’s like to be in Middle School created by The Pudding which is a company that explains ideas debated in culture with visual essays.. “We should care most about who you are right now, rather than focusing entirely on who you’ll turn into."

What do YOU think of the INDIVISIBLE movement? It offers a road map for action to build and wield power in ways that individuals can’t. To create change, we need the collective constituent power that comes with working together. indivisible.org

Making art is becoming increasingly essential to me. I appreciate illustrator Wendy MacNaughton. I am seeing more US flags hanging upside down. The U.S. flag code says that the flag is not to be inverted “except as a signal of dire distress in instance of extreme danger to life or property.”
