Saw this last year: simply marvellous!

This was the album that got me into the Cure. It was introduced to me by the son of my parents’ friends. He was a bit older than me: I was eleven.

I think council tax rates should be country wide and the revenue distributed by need. Currently councils in affluent areas often charge less than poorer ones because they don’t have to spend as much. This just make wealthier people wealthier and protects house prices.

Octopuses decimate fishing industry - rather than fishing industry creates captive larder for octopuses.

Just eat less meat, eat more of the animal, learn how to preserve what you have bought and make stock out of the bones. This will be good for your health, good for the planet and good for your pocket. If people can survive without meat, you don’t need a double burger, 1/2 a chicken or a 12oz steak.

A good starting point is to explain that there is such a thing as society and that focusing only on individuals and families leads to morally dubious decisions and actions.

The issue is the right have two main parties while the left have three. Perhaps, if Reform councillors don’t produce results, we might see a third right wing party emerge to challenge them…possibly led by Farage, to distance himself from any fallout. The question is will voters go back to the Tories

Low turnout at these elections is a massive problem, making predictions difficult. The collapse of the Tories turns more right wing voters to Reform, giving them a chance to challenge Labour instead. Labour’s lack of socialist and environmental policies turns the left to alternatives.

Yet, the amount of councillors gained by Reform is almost the same as the amount of councillors lost by the Conservatives. Labour have lost a lot of councillors but the Lib Dems and Greens, combined, gained more than Labour lost.

If this is true, it explains why he is vocal in discrediting efforts to reach net zero.

These influencers promote a lifestyle while spending lots of time working on making content. Is their type of work to be viewed differently to any other job choice? Do they not understand what work is? They are self-employed /freelancers. The irony would be amusing if the content wasn’t so toxic.

When it comes to infrastructure, it is going to be easier and quicker to increase gender neutral spaces. It will be interesting how it pans out in other areas as restricting things to women only could become more complicated and expensive.

Yep. Heating is still gas. Switched off in summer. Saving for more panels and a heat pump.

As someone who has embraced solar panels and has a secondhand EV, my electricity bill for March was £1.16. That includes charging my car, heating my water and most of my cooking. I am certainly benefiting from aiming for net zero.

My EV (Renault Zoe) is lighter than my previous petrol car (Vauxhall Zafira). All the marketing pushes for SUVs but they’re not really necessary, dangerous to pedestrians and other road users and a bugger to park.
