I always feel like ARR if it was standing alone would be meh but in the place where it is it's actually surprisingly good. It's a great starting point, a solid beginning to the saga that follows. And if it wasn't a solid foundation, the other expansions wouldn't be as great as they are.

I'd love if every game had such an easy way to setup mods as Hollow Knight has. Lumafly makes it so incredibly easy to setup your game with mods, started a multiworld randomizer with a friend and he took three times the time to get it to work because his game didn't have anything like it.

But if you want a pretty and clean box art, go with the normal Switch version.

I had the case of never having heard ARR Alphinaud's english voice until I much later finished up the Bahamut raids, because I only changed the language to english during HW. I was shocked how much it was dripping with arrogance. Felt somewhat fitting looking at him in ARR though.
