It happened because it's Veterans Day today, and the NFL always does a honor the troops thing at games the weekend before. Plus Trump can't resist making it all about him. He actually thinks he's a general.
If he gets us in a war I expect he'll start wearing a 6-star general-admiral uniform.

That is how you administer the oath. He wasn't taking it. He had daddy make sure he'd never take that oath. Plus I think he burst into flames if he swore to uphold the constitution now.
He deserved to get booed, but I feel sorry for every recruit whose swearing in was ruined by the traitor doing it.

You are correct, though, that America is locked into a capitalist system, and that is not likely to change as long as Citizens United lets big business buy politicians to block policy changes like universal health care.

And make no mistake, even if every gun toting civilian in America resisted, they would not be able to defeat the active U.S. military.
In Desert Storm, the Iraqi military lost 333 KIA for every 1 friendly KIA, and they were as well equipped as the USSR at the time.
Civilians stand no chance.

A violent overthrow has zero chance of succeeding unless the active military backs the people. Even if state national guard refused to be federalized, Trump would just invoke the insurrection act and crush them with the active military.

Beg to disagree. Progressives have known that since Reagan started it. Conservatives *still* think it works, and when confronted with the facts just claim that it hasn't worked because we haven't made the cuts big enough.
