Random recollection of the day:
Being an adult learner going back to school is different.
I was once assigned a research paper in a technology class with various emerging technologies to research.
One of them I happened to be an expert in.
So I asked and got permission to use myself as a source.

The ultimate perk of work seniority is the ability to be snarky without consequence.
Project manager: "We only have one week left to wrap this project up!"
Me: "So that's what that oppressive feeling of impending doom is!"
Thanks, Captain Obvious.

A great line from Saving Private Ryan is CPT Miller explaining "Gripes go up, not down".
Lower level workers often think that folks higher up ignore complaints & just agree with the company line.
I know from experience that isn't true. Folks at every level gripe.
Just not to you.

I realize that @bsky.app is trying to be similar to not-Twitter in format, but do we really have to have the same ridiculous inability to edit our posts? Typos happen... let us fix them!

The revival of Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hollywood Bowl was sadly just a 3-day run, but check out the YouTube videos, especially of Adam Lambert as Judas. Just incredible!

As a "fluffy" karate practitioner, it is impossible to find commercial gis that don't assume anyone with a extra large waist size is also 8 feet tall.
Thankfully Satori has you covered with their made-to-measure heavyweight gis.

Inspired by a Scottish protest sign -

Why Trump loves golf:
1. Private Club.
2. Little holes.
3. Everyone stays quiet.
4. No hole over 18.

Nothing spoils you as a user like the ability to make the devs change things in the system, and nothing is as frustrating as using a system where you can't do that.

Apparently Elon's "free speech" platform only protects speech it agrees with. I deactivated my account there after not-Twitter decided no-one can see my posts.

The decision whether or not to seek the death penalty for MN assassin Vance Boelter is sitting with Pam Bondi.
Bondi directed the DOJ to seek the death penalty in the UCHealthcare CEO murder.
It will be interesting to see if she considers killing Democrats a heinous a crime deserving death.

Did you know that all honorably discharged veterans (not just retirees) can shop the Exchange (online) & get tax-free purchases at military discounts?
Now Home Depot has announced a partnership making 1,000's of items available through the Exchange. This is huge. Tax free on big-ticket HD purchases!

Despite organizers cancelling all MN No Kings events (after protest flyers were found in the gunman's car) about a 1,000 people still showed up at our local event in Bloomington. Public support was great, with most cars enthusiastically honking, waving, and giving No Kings! a thumbs up.

We will not be intimidated!
MN state police are advising people not to attend Twin Cities area No Kings events after the shooting of two MN DFL legislators.
We are not detered. Terrorism only works if it succeeds in changing your behavior. We remain committed to deliver the message NO KINGS!

Had a nice weekend. Saturday evening we took the girl on a carriage ride through the north loop. She enjoyed it quite a lot.
Then Sunday we had a Greek brunch for Easter. All in all a pleasant couple days.

If one more MAGA moron says "This is what the majority of the country voted for!", I'm going to scream.
He didn't win the majority of the population.
He didn't win the majority of eligible voters.
He didn't even win the majority of the votes cast on election day.
America did not want Trump.

Trump is claiming that he didn't sign the order invoking the Enemy Aliens Act and suggested that Rubio was responsible.
Any takers on how long before Rubio gets alhis "Truth Slip"and gets kicked to the curb?

I earned my first college credit in 1981.
Over the next 15 years I took classes, but never got my degree. Then a travel heavy job in the pre-online era made school impossible.
I'm proud to announce that 44 years later, I will graduate in June with my Bachelors of Science in Electrical Technology.

Back from a delightful evening at the charming Nicollet Island Inn, where the missus, kiddo, and I celebrated our 42nd anniversary with cocktails, wine, great food and extraordinary service.
Looking forward doing it again next year, and many, many more.
