Another book publishing move to dismantle past commitments to racial equity.
A comment on Publishers Weekly report of layoffs at Hachette Book Group. The comment reads: "The thing people outside publishing might not appreciate is that firing people who were hired circa 2020 means firing them before seeing if their work was profitable, because it takes 5 to 7 years for an editorial cycle to complete. So they're just firing the Black women without cause."
