And we're starting to feel the crunch.

Kentucky faces a $305 million revenue shortfall this year and problems in the next budget because of state income tax cuts, an economy weakened by federal policies and new costs shifted to the state because of HR 1 (the OBBBA).

This is revenue no longer available to meet people’s needs.

Money that could be spent on our already-underfunded schools, hospitals, infrastructure and human services.

All while workers are facing inadequate wages and a growing cost of living crisis.

The top 1% — with $1.6 million a year in household income on average — pocket $1.7 billion.

That’s more than the $1.3 billion in net tuition revenue paid by all students at Kentucky public universities and community colleges.
