I'm a relatively well-read night owl, wordsmith, & history buff who is young at heart. I love writing, travel, theater, rainy days, & family.
Wherein our heroine took a drive through the Alpine Loop this afternoon. The colors were lovely — traffic heavy. Guess everyone wants to welcome Autumn. 🍂 #favoriteseason #autumn #AlpineLoop #remindsmeofKelly #falltradition #SundayAfternoonDrive #fallcolors

I’m advocating for the release of Utah violinist, John Shin, who was detained by ICE. A benefit concert on Labor Day in Salt Lake City is happening. If you’re local and are in support of this cause, come on out! #bachforjohn #releaseJohnShin #immigrantsstrengthen #trueimmigrationreformnow

Took my 87-year old Mom to see a play at The Playmill Theatre in West Yellowstone, Mt. It’s a labor of love getting her there, but worth it. She really enjoyed the show.

Poetry Challenge 2025 Day 3 - Triplet Poem

My three-egg omelet; cut down to size.

It’s two eggs now, must economize.

With things the way they are—no surprise!

This year I am making a statement for things I feel strongly about in this space; a departure from my typical light-hearted poetry offerings.

Disappeared becomes a verb—/

It’s National Poetry Month. Each year I do a 30-poems-in-30-days challenge. Here’s is today’s Ukiah poem:

Leaves and buds uncoil/

I’ve found that my coolness factor has varied throughout my life, depending on audience & circumstance. Sure wish I could share my hard-gained wisdom with my teenage self. Also, menopausal hot flashes make it challenging to stay cool. #onbeingcool #wordstoliveby #whatdoesbeingcoolevenmean
