Spoke to hubby yesterday. He's flat out. He apologised as he hadn't realised how much I do! My little trip away has reminded him and given him a renewed appreciation! Btw, he also does a lot, but clearly I do more!🤣 He sent me this meme.

Still a lot of bruising. It's still very week and a bit numb. But slowly getting better. No cooking or cleaning as I'm away for a week for work, so that's good. On my way to airport now. I'll be in different timezone and will be quiet on here over the next week.

It's amazimg what your middle finger is needed for. Apollo reacted yesterday to another dog and my finger got caught in the lead. It hurts and I have no strength in it.

Got home from shopping and my first photobook had arrived. I also made biscotti today. Taking it to my friend's tonight for dinner. I have some Vin Santo that we will take with us too. I can't seem to rotate the photobook photo!

I also got 2 shirts for $35ea. Originally $130 and $100. I hzfe a conference at the end of next week. Somewhere very cold. We're supposed to wear navy, blue, white- boring colours. I need to get a few things.
I just got a $189 jacket for $41! It's s cropped black jacket, fully lined. For work. Bargain!

I forgot! I'm expecting a phone call from the law firm today about an super insurance claim for my son. I suspect it has been rejected. No wonder I am feeling the way I am.
Weird day today. There's a lot of friends on here going through grief, that, combined with a few terrible news stories seems to have stirred thoughts of my son. It's coming up to 2 years, with Christmas to get through. It's weird when the grief hits you. Got teary driving home from dog training.💔

I've decided I'm going to take the rest of day off. The main office is in NZ and they're all having an early Christmas party anyway. So, why not?

Don't be! Grief is not linear. I was thinking how weird it is that life goes on without that person. @cazarelli.bsky.social mentioned about feelings of guilt. I guess it's a bit like that.
