Would probably rather be playing D&D, but I sing opera more often.

It started with friends at home. Now Dungeons & Dragons is in its stadium era.

It truly blows my mind how people so comfortably, confidently, and completely guilt-free go maskless on a flight and cough for three hours.

The NRA buys off Congress. No action on guns.

Insurance companies buy off Congress. No action on health care.

The list goes on and on.

I am becoming more faithful by the day that if you spend effort to eliminate negative energy and outlooks, invite and encourage the opposite, and cultivate your purest and best version of yourself… things all over the board just start falling into place.

I’ve been such a fan of the wired support series over the years, but seeing this person that I so admire talk about something that has added so much richness and joy to my life really just makes my heart sing.

Absolute nugget of wisdom from The Legacy by R. A. Salvatore on Morality - “Fortunate circumstances do not equate to high principles.”

Quick quote that struck me in its relevance and wisdom while reading from Zeinab Badawi’s ‘An African History of Africa’ :

“What does the preservation of identity, culture, and traditions mean if it does not result in making people’s lives better?”

Currently reading Zeinab Badawi’s “An African History of Africa” and was moved to tears when confronted with the reality and extent of stolen, destroyed, and plundered historical and artistic works, so this kind of accountability would be rad to see continue.

As someone that works professionally in theatre, but feels constrained by both predetermined material and time constraints in enjoying improvisation and telling a story I want to tell, D&D is truly a wonderland.

I’ve been reading John. A Farrell’s “Richard Nixon : The Life” and it’s insane how many plays of today have been blatantly copied from that administration. Only this time it’s, as is said in the music biz, “with meaning!”
