There's also seemingly no acknowledgement of a massive right-wing propaganda machine stirring this sentiment up. Where it does exist it's largely a manufactured, tribal outrage, it's not actually regular people getting so offended they go fash over this stuff. That's important.

Damn that’s crazy that the current crop of AI is an overly-wrought, copyright-infringing, system of smoke and mirrors susceptible to being open-sourced into oblivion. Who could have seen that coming other than literally anyone with the most surface level understanding of language models?

Can’t wait to tell my therapist that the source of “the slow, sinking feeling,” I’ve been experiencing the past year is actually just the lift of my desk chair failing and after several hundred hours of research on the mechanics of pneumatic systems I honestly think I’m cured now.
