Went camping and did some campfire Dutch oven cooking the other day. Made a variation on what my family calls 'Chicken Cheese Biscuit' for the first time and it turned out great! #cooking #campfire #dutchoven
Chicken and vegetables cook in an open pot hanging over a wood campfire. A creamy sauce has been added to the chicken and veggie mix. Then 3 large biscuits sit on top. The finished dish is half eaten on a blue plate. Part of the cooked biscuit is visible with the delicious sauce, chicken, and vegetables.

English style pie night! @derekandrich.bsky.social made steak, ale and mushroom pies from scratch with mashed potatoes and peas. They're perfect! (Not going to be able to finish in one sitting as they're 500+ grams!)
Four 5 inch meat pies fresh out of the oven. A pie played with gravy dripping down the sides, next to mashed potatoes and peas. The pie has been broken into, showing the delicious interior meat and mushroom filling.

I want to make a regular thing about having fresh bread on the weekends, so here we go. I'm not a stranger to making bread, but it's been a while. I'm very pleased with how this turned out. Based on the no-knead method, it had a 20 hour rise at about 68 degrees F. A very nice flavor 🙂 #baking #bread

I want to learn this piece the right way, so I'm following the given fingering, and the highlighted section has been all I've worked on for about 15 minutes already. For years I've only played periodically for fun, but I feel like redeveloping some of my old skills again.

It's been a while since I've sat down with my spinning wheel. I decided to use some naturally brown Merino Comeback plied with the Rosie's Blend that came with my wheel forever ago. This is the first time I've done a yarn like this. I think I'll knit a hat with it 🧶

A bobbin of brown wool and another of white being pulled from, the two yarns being spun together into a 2-ply yarn with a barbershop pole effect created from the contrasting colors. A handspun 2-ply yarn in brown and white. Because of the alternating contrasting colors in each ply, the result resembles the stripes of a barbershop pole.
