We're kind of in that place with one of our cats. He's got kidney disease, and a couple months ago we thought we weren't bringing him home from the vet. We've got him on subcutaneous saline now, and that helped immensely. Still, we know we're down to months, so there's lots of snuggling happening.

I’m starting to think Virginia Tech got lucky. They *only* had to pay out $6m for their failed coach. Imagine what those schools could do with that money besides rewarding failure.
