Fr though always incredibly compelling to see the Nixon-Johnson relationship, just incredibly odd. Between ‘68 and their feelings towards each other from before it would always have been odd and unique. Checks out that Lyndon never dropped the Nixon hate à la Harry

Polling in 2016 had Bernie outperforming Hillary by several points consistently in 2016— really! If you go and check polls from 2016, Bernie always did better! I think we memory-hole it because of the electability argument, but people just liked him better than Hillary or Trump in 2016

Worth pointing out that in almost all 2016 polls, Bernie does better than Hillary against all candidates except occasionally Kasich. Possibly the most infuriating thing to go through is listening to "electability" arguments when he was straight up doing 5 points better at times. He'd lose 2024 tho
